Jimmy was very bored. He thought about taking a bus to go to the movies. Then a paper airplane floated in front of him. He opened the airplane and found a sloppy clue. He followed the clue to the park. He found another clue! The clue said to go to the supermarket at the end of the road. At the supermarket, under the celery, was another note that told him to go to the factory. At the factory, a note told him to go to the church. At the church, a note told him to go to Susan’s house. At Susan’s house, a note told him to go to his third period classroom. At his third period classroom, a note told him to go to the basement of his house. At the basement of his house, a note told him to go to the zoo. At the zoo, the note read, “I am large and made of brick and inside me there are things made of rubber,” and Jimmy guessed this meant the hardware store on Hill Lane and he was right. At the hardware store on Hill Lane, a note told him to go to the basketball court. At the basketball court, a note told him to go to the boutique shop. Many other notes told Jimmy riddles and clues and to go to places all around town. Finally, he arrived at the bakery and a paper clue told him to go to the Applebee’s. Jimmy was very tired and his hands shook and he opened the door to the Applebee’s. Inside the Applebee’s, leaning on the Applebee’s bartop, was the Clue Master! It was his friend Matthew’s sister, Tina! Tina was now wrinkled and hunched and as old as he was. He asked if she was the Clue Master and she said, “Yes!” She handed him a note. Jimmy unfolded the note. It said, “Everyone you’ve ever loved is gone and buried beneath the soil of three to four cemeteries.”
